We’ve started working on Christmas songs in church choir, and at the university we are rehearsing Messiah; and my piano students are also now practicing their Christmas carols. Hearing all that beautiful music helps to elevate my mood.

Oh , I will always remember the election, but I will not let it get me down.

I couldn't sleep much last night so early in the morning I watched Top Hat with Astaire and Rogers. What an uplifting movie!

I pulled out my Christmas music yesterday. Haven’t gotten around to listening to it yet. Maybe today.

You’re correct, listening to that music lifts one’s spirit.

I’m worried that he will make me stay another 2 or more weeks immobile. It’s so difficult with Thanksgiving next week. And Christmas coming.

:(

I saw that it was on.

Any day now I'm going to break out the Christmas videos. "White Christmas", "Christmas In Connecticut", "Holiday Inn", etc. I usually wait until after Thanksgiving for those but I think I will start earlier this year. Thanksgiving is really late!

I’m now watching, on TCM, Harvey with Jimmy Stewart. Comedy and music...that’s the ticket!

I agree. That’s the ticket. No matter what Jimmy Stewart is in, I always feel better when I watch him doing his marvelous work.

I'm out at the university now, and having a frustrating day.

One student cancelled a lesson I was scheduled to play for, and neglected to call me. Another student asked me to accompany an oboist at the convocation on Friday because he "doesn't have time" to learn the piano accompaniment....even though by his own admission he's had the music for several weeks; so now I have to learn it in 2 days. The first rehearsal I played for this morning was moved to a different building and nobody told me; well, they did leave a note on the door of the original location but a quick phone call to save the extra running would have been appreciated.

GRRR.

Small things, I know, but small frustrations have a way of accumulating.

Oh well. Guess I'll survive.

Thanks for posting the link. Wonder what zero man thinks of all this? He is so arrogant, he might just be laughing about it or he may be in some corner sucking his thumb.
