Alabama was overrated, and I’m an SEC fan. But all year I knew Bama was not as good as their rating. Utah might have a really good team, but they needed to play Florida/Oklahoma/or Texas to know just how good they were.

Southern Cal won at home, basically, in the Rose Bowl...they always have the advantage there. Would’ve been better for them to play this year at a different bowl location. That would prove their point much more if they won.

Ohio obviously prepared great for this game... defense really stepped up, except on the last play.

Oklahoma and Florida are where they should be...in the NC Bowl. Will be interesting to see how that plays out.

“McCoy was damn lucky tonight”.
Lucky? He had two TD passes and ran for another. He had 414 passing yards and the offence totaled near 500 yards. The Defence left a lot to be desired in this game though.

Good game, second half anyway, I was bored to death in the first so I actually tuned into some dance crap. Ohio State’s D screwed the pooch on the last TD.

I called that Pryor kid Micheal Vick and my said “no Vick can through it better than that”.

Quan Cosby, top 10 draft pick in April

Not at 5-11 unless he runs a 4.3. He's a good WR but not top 10 in the draft.

The Big XII South is proving itself to be a sham. No team from that division has proven itself capable of running the ball or stopping the run.

Okie Lite took that Texas team to the wire in Austin. Taco Tech beat them in Lubbock.

Okie Lite got smashed in the mouth by Oregon until the Cowboys quit. Ole Miss dismantled Taco Tech. In both games the "Big XII" teams were made to look like glorified versions of Hawai'i.

As much as I hate USC, they'd have made light work of the Horns last night.

As for Utah, nice game, but they suffer from the classic mid-major problem: Too many perceived bye weeks playing in their conference. Lots of teams are capable of pulling off a one shot upset.

You most certainly are. Highly touted Missouri and Texas Tech got destroyed in bowl games this year by "inferior" teams.

Sorry. Missouri won their bowl game this year. 30-23 over Northwestern in overtime.

The only undefeated team in the country cannot be named first.

In the BCS poll. The AP can name whoever it wants as number 1. And frankly, after Utah rolled Alabama, I'm really not sure how it doesn't deserve a share of the title.

What a game! Hook ‘em!!!

But regarding national rankings .... The Utes certainly made their case by beating Bama. USC had a strong showing in the Rose Bowl. Florida or OU will be the champ, but who will follow?

That attempted “tackle” by the DB was horrible! Overall it was a good game however Texas does NOT garner support for #1 with that effort considering the Big Ten is a weak conference. Florida should ROLL over OU Thursday.

Texas is a fine team but they barely had what it takes to beat a two-loss OSU squad.

Two very different conferences with very different styles. The Big 12 is all about the pass. Big 10 is all about the run. Very obvious in last night's game. OSU ran the ball well and the Horns did well in the air.

Horns are at best number 4 behind Florida, OU and Utah. Throw SoCal into the mix and they fall to five.

Either OU or Florida will be a 2 loss team. TX will come out above one of them.

They announced a change about two year ago requiring the AP voters to vote for the BCS champion as number 1 on the final poll.

If Ohio State had an offense that was as good as their defense the game would not have even been close.

Can't disagree with that. TX gave them the field ... OSU just couldn't close the deal. TX was lucky to be in it enough for that last drive.

Good defensive battle overall. Nice to see a game like that instead of a shootout.

The Coaches are required to vote the BCS national champ number 1. The AP can vote for whoever they want.

Luck is not what Colt is. He performed as the best in the land, which he is.

Did you not see the great last drive he put together to go ahead with a minute to go against TTech, and the way he came from behind against OU?

He is a class act in every sense.

Hook’em Horns, haven't yelled that loud since my Red Raiders did the same thing to the Longhorns. But again today I am dang proud to have been born in Austin, Texas.

Good point about the loser of the BCSCG game being a two-loss team. If that team is OU, I can see Texas moving ahead. Whoever wins, however, is number one, then comes, Utah and SC. Any way it comes down, I don’t see how Texas goes higher than four.
