Now, before you go, "So what?" consider this...

There are documented cases of completely innocent people being hauled into court because they were accused of doing something illegal while on the Internet.

Simply being on the Internet and holding an IP address issued to you by your ISP is enough to become a target.

Inevitably the bot networks will team up with the kiddie porn industry to store kidde porn on remote Windows computers zombied by the bots.

The only real solution is to stop using operating systems that even Microsoft says are botted to the tune of 60% of all desktop Windows machines on the Internet.

Additionally, bot software running on infected Windows desktops is responsible for 85% of all the spam on the Internet.

If you're using Windows and you're connected to the Internet you're likely part of the problem.
