By the young earth assumption there are trillions of stars all within 6000 light years. That would be one hot and crowded sky :)

That assumes that the speed of light
has always been the same as it is today.

There is empirical evidence that it has
slowed down on a steeply declining curve
and is now asymptotic.

Really!? Whoever has that evidence should make it public and start collecting Nobel Prizes. After all, such "empirical evidence" would overturn nearly every single aspect of modern physics, not to mention disproving Einstein's Relativity theories, which have been confirmed through nearly a century of experimental observation!
