If they REALLY want to remake this movie, they shouldn’t set it in some bible-thumping small town.
They should set it in NYC where “caberet” laws that date back to the Jazz Age are still enforced to keep the public from dancing in some bars.
NYC would be good. They banned smoking, trans fat, driving, and now dancing because of leg injuries.
They should set it in some Sharia town in Saudi.
I wanna know if Zack will be doing his own dancing or if he is going to have a *dancer-double*, as Bacon did (btw, he was the blonde guy from the ZZ Top video, “Sharp Dressed Man”) — funny, but those two big dance movies out at the same time, “Footloose” and “Flashdance” both had someone else do the actual dancing for the stars of the movie.
Guess that didn’t apply to Studio54.
