I wonder if it’s a Skyline Drive in CA - which would make it unusual if it snowed. I think I remember it being near the Bay Area somewhere .. but I don’t remember any views of water .. too many years ago .. can’t remember.

I believe there is a Skyline Drive in the southern california San Bernardino Mountains, up near either Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear lake. It snows up there regularly, keeping the ski lifts open in the winter.
