To Whom It May Concern,

I have had a perfectly lousy day. I am tired and crabby. I was going non-stop from 7:15 this morning until getting home from choir just now. My nerves are frazzled.

......and I walked in the door and my husband is listening to The Annointed One and he has the TV turned up really loud and THAT VOICE drives me right up the wall so I am in here with the door shut listening to a CD cranked up really loud.

There is a soldier in NE Wisconsin who, while home on leave from Iraq, decided the war is immoral and decided not to go back. He has been given a deadline to return, after which he will be declared AWOL. He has been all over the news telling his story and making his case, such as it is. One of the women in my theatre group asked me what I thought of it. I told her I preferred to concentrate on the 3500 SOLDIERS WHO ARE WILLINGLY DOING THEIR DUTY......the ones who just left for TX and will be heading to Iraq. She said, well, he sure is getting a lot of attention. I said yes, and it's a shame.

Have I mentioned recently how really really really grateful I am for all of your support, you ATRW-ers?

'Cuz believe me, I get a lot of rolled eyes and "I just don't understand why they're still over there" when I tell people about Ev's deployment. Much more than last time. And it gets to me. It SHOULDN'T, but it DOES. The other day I got an earful of "we should just stop invading everybody" and "the economy is bad! Why are we spending money on war?" from a university student. I reminded him that we didn't start this fight, and that our national security trumps every other issue, but he just walked away.

Anyway....I've been on the verge of breaking down in tears all day long and I think I'll go do that right now.

Good night everyone.

Good night Mozie. Sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite, and remember that God loves you, as we do here.

Endure
by Bobi
If I can endure for this moment,
whatever is happening to me.
No matter how heavy my heart,
or how dark the moment may be.
If I can but keep on believing,
what I know in my heart to be true.
Then darkness will fade into morning,
and with this dawn a new day, too.

Good night to you too Mozie!

Oh, did your post strike a nerve here. Last week a good friend (whose views are the same as mine, I thought) said think of all the ways we could have spent that money instead of being in Iraq. I was speechless. I’ve been avoiding her since then. If we had had another attack on our soil, would they have been glad we kept our troops home?

No TV was on here. Just blessed silence in the house. I cannot stand the imposter’s voice. Or views. Or lies.

I hope you are able to sleep soundly. Then you can better cope when you’re rested.

Oh Mozie, you are such a pillar of strength even when you’re “crabby”. Love, just remember with every war we have the naysayers and they are always welcome by our traitorist press. We’re here for you and with you. Stay strong and cry when you must, we understand.

Hang in there Mozie!

Ash Wednesday is upon us. A great time for fasting and mortification.

Mozie... We are always going to have people out there that so ignorant of history, and what our role in this world is all about.

Most people don't know that we pulled out of southeast Asia in the seventies millions of Vietnamese and Cambodians were murdered and imprisoned; albeit Pol Pot, or the North Vietnamese.

I continue to remind myself that evil will truimph if good men and women do nothing. It is up to face up to evil and beat it back. This faction of Islam wants to dominate and control the world. They brutalize women and prevent children from being educated. They strap bombs to the mentally retarded and send them into market squares to be denotonated. What would these people have us do? Ignore the plight of our fellow man.

I remember talking to my father during the Vietnam war. (He flew B-29's out of Guam during World War 2.) I asked him if he wanted me to be drafted. He said, "No... I would rather have you join of your own free will so that you can do good for others. That is what God commands of us!" I have never forgotten that.

A few years later I did enlist. I have nothing but the greatest of admiration for all those who are serving our country, whether they are stateside or in harm's way overseas. They are the heroes we need so desperately today. They are willing to give the last fullmeasure of devotion and ask nothing in return.

Don't let the bastards get you down. They know very little of sarcrifice. They are only interested in their own comfort zone, otherwise they wouldn't have the attitude they do.

God bless Ev, and Jemian's son. All who serve are our heroes forever. God will bless them, and you in adundance.
