There is no official thread up, so will report here on the action at the San Diego Tea Party.
It was big fun, and I’m not sure how many showed up, but 200 were anticipated. I’d say it was definately 200.
SO MUCH FUN...we had a captive audience as the lanes divided on Harbor drive, lots of folks coming in from the airport. - cars, taxis, shuttles, buses. Great signs, a guy blasting music (political lyrics) blasting out Schumer re “chattering class.”
Thanks to Nordp, the media showed up. She and hubby called them yesterday, so the TV stations showed.
Bullhorns abounded, cops were there to keep peace (not needed), and I’d have to say 99% of everyone we encountered gave a thumbs up and a smile, and a honk. LONG honks.
Some guy shouted “go to work” and I had to laugh as I took time off to be there.
I met Socalpol and Nordp/hubby.
The pleasure was all mine.
Whoohoo! Thanks for the report, Snarlin.
Good job, Snarlin’. I wish I coulda been there.
Wonderful report. I see others reporting in......St. Louis had 1,500 after the news gurus said they’d probably have 100. Ha! Then they went down and threw tea in the Mississippi. (Hope I’m not wrong about the location. I read about several gatherings.)
I’ve been watching the live stream from CPAC a lot today. Both events are very encouraging. Thanks for sharing. Did you get pictures?
