1st of all, I find this extremely hard to believe. New York tried to give illegals drivers licenses and that's all we heard about on the local and national news. So, is the media covering up the fact that the government wants to give illegals social security benefits?? This sounds like something you should check and recheck on Snopes!
Also, if the American people don't want illegals coming into this country, they don't have to build fences, they don't have to have border patrols -- none of that stuff -- the solution is very, very simple................STOP HIRING THEM!!!! If we didn't hire them they wouldn't come. It's cheaper to check on SSN's than it is to build fences and hire border patrol officers. If the people who hired illegals would pay minimum wages to the people in this country we wouldn't have this problem.

As far as the “not hiring” them, it’s pretty hard for employers who are law-abiding to make sure a Hispanic is legal, since there are so many fake documents now. And an employer who thinks he can avoid this by not hiring Hispanics is then guilty of discrimination, and could be prosecuted by the government.
