I checked some other sites on this and none mentions bugs coming out.

It sounds like a nervous system problem. Perhaps the fibers are nerves run amok.

Or someone working with fiberglass with no gloves, shorts, and short sleeves. I tripped and fell on some fiberglass once, I didn’t know the vinegar trick and damn that stuff itched for days, shower after shower didn’t get it off..
