Ummmm.. All Christians didn’t necessarily vote against Adam. I’m a Christian and I voted for BOTH Kris and Adam in the course of the show. I didn’t vote on this last round because I thought both equally deserved to win.
They both are very talented guys, each in their own way.

And simple geography may have been on Allen’s side.

Allen didn’t challenge the top-rated show’s core values. On stage, he exuded all the edginess of a modest Bible student who just happened to look like a teen idol.
By contrast, Lambert positioned himself as a revolutionary with his eyeliner, nail polish and jet-black dye job - and aligned himself with two left-of-mainstream genres, glam-rock and goth.
His over-the-top style, complete with a patented shriek, impressed some but turned off others.
I didn't realize jonny did a thread. I went to a thread, but not his, but, yeah it was unwatchable.
Yeah and the irony of claiming the Kris and Keith were singing my screen name and having Adam and Kiss sing my actual name was not lost on me.

Transcending all of your excellent reasons why Kris may have won: Americans apparently, as nice as he may be, don’t want an overt flaming gay as their American Idol.

He did not push his sexuality. He is a tad different, but thank heavens, that is okay in our country. Or, it used to be.
Adam has more talent in his pinky than Kris has in his entire body and all you can do is bring politics into the play.
Adam was GRACIOUS and charming. He has serious talent and all you can see is someone "not like you".
I guess I should have expected that.
