When was Castro eliminated last year? 4th? I think Syesha made it to the Top 3 (I remember her hopey-changey farewell speech :-/)
I think there was an all girl Top 3 in the third season, but I'm not sure. Fantasia, Degarmo and Jasmine Trias?

The only winner of Idol that made it big is Underwood. Everyone else who won is so so. Kelly Clarkson has done okay for herself.
I think her second album went platinum six times.

adam grosses me out.. he is nothing special.. I don’t care what simon or anyone else says... that is what I think. he is just a showman... with little talent or originality... that is my opinion.

Now you’re talking stage performance. he has done some simple ballads without all of the showy stuff. I’m talking vocal skills and no one else this year is in his league. It’s not just my opinion it’s unanimouis with the judges. Kara, Simon, and Randy all have cred and experience in the business, if you don’t want to believe some guy on the internet.

Hated that Allison went home. I was hoping she would be in the final two. But she will be ok. She has lots of time and the whole AI post experience to look forward to. She has time now to focus inward and really get her sound together and figure out what direction she wants to go musically.

Sorry I don't think so. It is my understanding that they keep the song list pretty close to the vest to try and avoid outside influences on the picks. As often as Simon tells them they should fire the person helping then pick songs, that wouldn't make much sense. Once they choose their songs, I can understand secrecy so as not to ruin the show.
I have a feeling the list was super short and may have not benefitted all of them. jmo
