His performance is flat. He finally shows some life when they get to the "Jesus, Take The Wheel" part. Seems more like shouting at times than singing.
Doesn't compare at all with the original.
Kara: When you hit your stride it's like none other. I wish I had ten minutes of that (the second half of the song) instead of the front half.
Paula: [the drugs are kicking in or are they're wearing off--hard to make sense of what she's saying. She likes it, I guess]
Simon: My only problem, Danny, is what you're wearing. [a white winter coat] It's like you're going on a polar expedition. It's 80 degrees in Los Angeles.
