Snapped a few pix of a critter that's came to visit on these beautiful Spring daze. First, He/She poised for a close-up and then I caught him/her in flight around the neighbor's liquidamber trees...

It is very windy here on the high desert, today - winds are gusting up to 45. Birds are hanging onto twigs, wires and branches with their little feet - wishing they had some super-glue.
They just said on tv that we are under a ‘Small Dog Warning’. (IOW, if your little dog is not secured by a chain, you can kiss your doggy good-bye.) LOL!

Beautiful! That top picture is as good or better than any I have found on Google. And it was interesting you caught it at a distance! I could never get a close up like you did as I tried it with a hummingbird last year! Either I moved or the hummingbird moved at each shot I made! LOL!
