This is our third year as fulltimers/workampers at a luxury RV resort jam packed with amenities. It’s not exactly a hard-luck life. You can get a lot of information and find job postings at workamper.com.
Generally, for 20-25 hrs per week you’ll receive a site that includes electricity, water/sewer, cable and wifi. also store and propane discounts and full use of the facilities. Many places pay wages for additional hours worked. Here and elsewhere you also can receive a nice bonus at the end of the season.
Yes, get yourself a nice 3 season RV with plenty of storage.
None of us are living like hippies : D
Sounds great. This would be my first time having an RV, so I know nothing, totally nothing, about them. I’m trying to decide is it too much to learn at this point so just move to an apartment....or maybe it’s not that much to learn??
Wouldn’t mind doing the workamper thing, have heard about that before. Have an elderly relative in the area whom I check on for now, but have definitely thought about workamping in the future.
Wanted to maybe get used to living in an RV here, then travel some with it in a few years. But as I said earlier, the mobile home/RV parks around here have problems with the druggies. So, I’ve hesitated about buying one just yet (besides being concerned about the learning curve on upkeep, etc.).
