Not me. I take pride in my appearance and health. I run ten miles a week, play tennis and watch what I eat.
What's the excuse for the other sixty-five percent of Ameircans?
Many a runner has died in mid run due to heart failure, exercise is no guarantee of a long life.
Being vain is not a virture BTW.

Try Menopause, 6 pregnancies, cooking three meals a day for decades to feed people (yes, we still have family dinner every night), and just plain age.
BTW, I’m wayyy over 60 and found out that while women may gain weight in their 40s to 60s, it all comes off after Menopause.
Now, what’s the men’s excuse? I’d have loved to be able to run and play tennis, but unfortuantely, I ran a household, and worked some decades.
Frankly, if more people worried about their character, and lack of charity, sense of overweening pride, and just plain cussedness in general and less about how they or anyone else looked, we might have nicer world.
*Not saying I’m describing you, just the world in general.
