Do you have any information about "dopers" or "terrorists" apprehended at internal checkpoints? That's not even what these guys are supposed to be looking for. These checkpoints have been established to filter out the wetbacks, or at least that's what they say.

Plenty of dope found there. Happens almost weekly. And yes, terrorists too, I remember the guy caught with explosives in his trunk by an alert INS agent coming in for the mellinium plot.

Odd, for a conservative to be supporting that. Id expect to see that on some WTO protester or Tim McViegh type of site.

When you go through the checkpoint at Buckman Springs just outside of San Diego, they have a tally board of the different criminal types apprehended including DUIs. Those are referred to the CHP. And yes, drug smuggling is a federal offense.

Finally by far the largest number of apprehensions on the list is...illegal aliens. This may be a shocker to you but when you ask someone to roll down their window and the occupant say Que? The USBP is doing the job you want them to do.
