So she thinks that NASA should stop launching rockets into the atmoshere. I told her she should take action and get on her cell phone right now and call them. That went right over her head.

If she’s going to eat soy then (A) she is going to eat processed foodstuffs and (B) may risk Alzheimer in later years.
And MTV/VH1 now are just the “tweener” stage of indoctrination from Viacom that falls between Nickeoldeon (where Linda Ellerbee told children to educate their ignorant parents on the environment and global warming), Comedy Central’s “Daily Show”, and ultimately SeeBS.
If launching missiles into the atmosphere causes global warming, why did the doomsayers tell us that the atomic bomb testing was ushering in a new ice age?
Tell your daughter the only thing edible (really!) about the soy plant is the roots, and even THEY have to be fermented. (Soy sauce.)
Soy is a hormone, and will cause early physical maturity in both females and males, though males will most probably “look soft” and develop large breasts.
Chinese don’t use it except during times of famine.
