The “dumb” part lies with you, since it all boils down to you drinking the green koolaid again.

It makes all SUV’s, heavy pickups and market driven free choice according to need, obsolete. Instead of driving to promote all vehicles produced with increased efficiency, it is selectively forcing all Americans to drive ultra light clown-car sized shoe boxes that self destruct if they hit a small animal on the highway.

Quit being a jackass for a few minutes and explain how a private company producing a fuel-efficient mid-side hybrid impacts your ability to use your one-ton duallie?

I have an Escape Hybrid that's just gone over 80k. It's never been in the shop for any reason other than scheduled maintenance and a set of tires. Heck, it's never even had to have brakes done. My other vehicle is an F150. I don't expect the compact SUV to haul logs to the dump or pull my boat. That's what the truck is for, and as far as I can tell Ford is doing nothing to discourage me from getting a new pickup truck.

Hybrids aren't a threat to your manhood. They're cars. You can have one or not - it's your choice.
