Thus, even though RINOs have some issues on which they are "democrat-like", they still consider themselves "republicans". I have no disagreement with this being a conservative site. I just hope that some people can be more open-minded.

You seem to be more than a little confused about what a Republican is and is not these days and what a conservative is.

Republicans are not by default conservatives.

Any Republican that is that democrat-like IS a RINO, liberal, whatever, but certainly not a conservative.

You seem to have come in towards the end of a discussion or you haven't been following the discussion too closely.

I myself have not equated a RINO with being a conservative. I know better than that. Perhaps you need to go back and read my posts a bit more closely.

I totally agree with what you’ve said metmom. Thank you for addressing that part in your post, as I was meaning to, but got on a tangent! LOL

If anyone thinks by just being a Republican means they are Conservatives just look at those in the GOP who supported the bailouts (Buyouts) of GM and Chrysler, or those who supported the Bill of Attainder for the AIG folks, or Olympia Snowe’s proposed law to give control of the internet completely over to Obama, etc... etc... etc...
