Lil Miss and I put together the DuraCraft San Francisan. Though she hated dolls, she enjoyed building the house because is was a puzzle with a zillion pieces. Once it got nearly complete with no more puzzle pieces, she lost interest. It's still sitting on the diningroom table after all these years. I suppose I should finish it once she's off at college. I'd be glad to part with it for half of what the above Englishman got for his. Heck, with the economy in the slumps, I'd take a quarter of his asking price!
When our cat was younger and smaller, we caught him running out of the front door of my daughter’s doll-hole with a Barbie in his mouth. He used to hunt Barbies, but the image of him running out of the house will stick with us for a long time.
Neat.
Seems there’s at least one cat or dog in every room. Wonder if he put little bits of dog/cat hair on all the upholstery.

WOW!
I love the library.
Funny, the Barbie hunter was a b&w tuxedo, also. (And I just realized I posted “doll-hole” above instead of “doll-house.” I am not sure what exactly a doll-hole would be.)
My mom spent years building one about half that size. Floored me what she paid for the hanging chandeliers similar to the ones in this house. I did the wiring for her and started to get the bug to build one myself. Then our plant closed and interrupted that idea. Anyway, it’s fun to check out. If I show her this article, she’s going to want to build another one.
The details in this one are wonderful.
