You're absolutely right. No declawed cat of any kind should ever be allowed to roam free. They have only their teeth, but they instinctively try to use their missing claws for hunting and defense.

Yea it is sad to declaw and then release outside..Had a neighbor that did that and the cat use to spend time on our farm and patio...Had no protection for itself...But we did laugh when it tried to climb trees as it had its back claws but not front...Poor cat never succeeded it getting more than a couple of feet off the ground..
