I bought them from Burpee.com when I couldn’t find any yellow pear seeds in my area. This is my first attempt at gardening. I planted them in jiffy 7s. I had a whole tray of 12 YPs. This is one of the surviving 4.

I’ve killed a lot of stuff this year. ;-)

I’ve been taking pics of everything since I started.

This particular plant looked ‘normal’ until about 2 weeks after I transplanted it into the garden.

It probably was a stray seed in the Yellow Pear package,
but keep your eyes on it and save seeds from it if its’
a tasty TOM.

P.S. Abner

I started out using Jiffy peat pods too. However, like
many other gardeners i know, we've gotten away from using
them. They seem to either stay too wet or dry out to easily.

You too may find that cell trays with a good seeding mix
maybe the best way to go. I think that you might have less
seedling mortality's with cell trays.
