Thanks for posting this. I just finished up my last day of teaching summer school with special education kids and this was just the fun I needed! I wouldn't have seen it, if not for your posting!

I have been to Black Churches where there is alot more dancing and hopping it up going on - weekly. Do you think the same about that?

I really think God would like that people have a little fun in church. Besides, it looked like things settled down for the solemn part of the ceremony.

I love the dancing but question the venue. This - IMO - belongs in the reception hall not the church. I also agree that the girls looked good and the guys looked like idiots.

SOme churches have a “praise dance ministry” - whatever that is.

one might wonder about the choice of singer but the lyrics gave them joy.

Who are we to Judge? It is wanted they wanted. They felt joy and expressed it. It might not be what someone else would want for a wedding...but it made them happy. It is their life.

I guess if God doesn’t like it he can smite them.

I’m sorry you have such a dour and uptight view of life. Given the joy with which this couple has approached their wedding, I bet they have a long and happy marriage.

I don't believe this is a dour and uptight view of life. This is about respecting the sanctity of marriage and the church. Yes, weddings are joyful, happy occasions and should be celebrated. However, a church wedding is about joining two people in Christ not dancing up and down the aisles doing acrobatics. The reception is a far better place for this type of activity.

I wish this young couple all the love and happiness in their future. Marriage is wonderful but it is lots of hard work at times.

My daughter got married ten years ago and they set to popular movie music at the time. I still watch it. It was truely awesome. She walked to the theme of Last of the Mohicans.

Since God seems so on board with all this joyfulness, we just boogie doo doo wop our way into Eternity. And if God doesn't like it, he can just smite us.
