I just noticed another difference in the numbering format. Obama’s is 151-1961-010641 - notice the 0 starting the last group of numbers. The twins don’t have an initial zero in that group. Why?

Yeah, you’re right. Good catch. Obama’s is six digits and the twins are five digits. In addition to the 1961 vs. 61

My husband was born in Hawaii in 1953. His Certificate of Live Birth has a birth number of 151- 53 05xxx. I would say the sequencing numbers are 151- then 2-digit year, then 5 additional digits.
