Ya know, in the 1960s around here — mainland, fly-over country — the birth of a bi-racial baby would be something that folks in the hospital remember.
My mom and mother-in-law remember who was on their ward when they delivered and even told us about babies born on the same day or within a day or two of us.
According to the 1960 Hawaii Census, the "Blacks" made up only 0.7 percent of the population.
In the hospital, Obama Sr (and Jr) would have "stuck out like a sore thumb". And yet, no one (staff or patient) remembers seeing them at the hospital ...
