It’s a medal of freedom, not of honor.
Milk was not an honorable man. He was a mean, based,
manipulating deceiver.
But he supposedly allows people to be free to make a choice.
He supposedly opens doors for others to make that choice
with less societal judgement. But even if this is a noble
goal (I don’t believe it is), then why not pick someone who
had a little (non-sexual) moral fiber?
Could it be because the whole movement is mean, base,
manipulative and deceptive? If so, then Milk is the
perfect standard bearer.
Kennedy. No contest.
"When Communist U.S.S.R. was a superpower, the world was better off. The right-wing media is trying to marginalize the peace movement."
- Janeane Garofalo
She couldn’t read the timetable.
...while waiting in the free clinic.
One of the things that is rarely mentioned about Milk was his political relations and support of cult leader and mass murderer Jim Jones. It was completely glossed over in the friggin movie ***SHOCKER***.
zer0 rewarded his change agents. He even said so. He has succeeded in cheapening yet another part of our culture, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom is now thoroughly sullied.
Harvey Milk was not assassinated!
Don’t forget The Bent One: He gave Bob Dole the PMF as a de facto reward for losing the 1996 election.
[whines, whinges]
Just think. If Harvey had swung both ways, he could have been renamed, Harvey Half and Half!
