Oh, Brother.

Because of the global rise in temperatures....there is too much sun in the range of flavours..." I guess you have to have a stick jammed up pretty far to know what that means.

"Wine," they added, "is the result of an alchemy between a native soil, or terroir, and generations of winemakers. Today this alchemy is in danger." The warmists, having been abandoned by the fickle b**** Science, now must turn towards Alchemy to be saved. Astrology and Phrenology are waiting in the wings if Alchemy can't save the warmists.

If nothing is done to reduce carbon emissions, the world map of wine would be changed forever with the country's vineyards moving 1,000 kilometres (620 miles) south by the end of the century, they warned. Strange? I would think that you would move NORTH to a cooler climate. Of course I could care less if the French eat crap and die anyway.

French wines "now have a higher alcohol content, their texture is heavier, there is too much sun in the range of flavours, our wines could lose their souls," the column said.

If this is the case, I would like to change my position from global warming skeptic to global warming endorser. Screw France.

To survive, French wines needed an ambitious deal by developed nations to reduce carbon emissions by 40 percent by 2020, said the group, which includes chefs Marc Veyrat and Jean-Luc Rabanel and sommeliers Franck Thomas and Antoine Petrus. Sacre bleu! Chefs and wine sippers now making environmental policy with the advice of this incontinent cheese eating huckster. The only french he knows is "wee wee."

“France is now surrendering to climate change advocates.”
I think it’s a little hasty to conclude that France is surrendering to the eco-nuts just because of the actions of a few Frenchmen in league with Greenpeace.

French Chefs...is there anything they don’t know?
To: Diana in Wisconsin
but it will mean better growing conditions and a return of the English vinyards that were famous during the middle ages. When it was warmer than it is now...and the French still produced wine. This is just another warming whine.
