It probably contains at least 50 grams of protein, and not many more calories than the regular sandwich. It probably also tastes about 10 times better than the regular sandwich.
What will kill you in that concoction is the sodium.

I read somewhere that they are "testing" this in several cities. It's 5.99.
That said, it sounds delicious (and I'm not a pushover for chicken). Followed by some tums.

“Colonel Sauce” is more or less the same as ranch dressing. The unhealthy ingredient isn’t sugar. It’s oil and mono-sodium glutamate. It’s the same breaded chicken patty they put on their regular chicken fillet sandwich. You can get it grilled, if that’s an issue for you. KFC grilled chicken is low in fat, but it’s high in sodium and has MSG to boot.

Bread’s bad for you too. White starch turns right to sugar...not approved.

And given we're talking KFC, it's probably served at room temperature. And with all the ghetto hospitality that makes us famous: "What do you want?" "Pull forward."

Starch "turns" to sugar because it is a long polymer of sugar. Sort of like a big wall of bricks "turns into" bricks when you take down the wall. Sugar is what cells run on biochemically. It all goes around in a big circle.

Try whole grain or sprouted bread. No such concerns there.

Hmm... Well, there you have it. :-)
I'm surprised.

It looks like it would be a lot lower carb than a regular sandwich. If they used grilled chicken, it would be fantasticly low carb.
Chicken as bread beats the Back yard burger lettuce as wrap concept. Back yard burger’s low carb rendition leaks all over the place.

A lot more complex and a lot more REAL and useful. Each line represents a biochemical reaction catalyzed by a specific enzyme. As you can see, it all goes around in a circle.
Your body can make proteins and fats using sugar.
Your body can make fats and sugar using proteins.
Your body can make sugar and proteins using fats.
Thus I find the “no carbs” people as silly as the “no fat” people. Cotton candy is a fat free food! Bacon is carb free! Depending upon your diet is one good and the other bad? Or is excess of either probably not a good idea?

Does it come with a beer? I think the plan is to hit the drive thru @ KFC and have a cooler full of suds in the back of your pickup. Makes for a slow afternoon at work afterwards though.....
