Today's Saturday Night Gun Pron starts with an "early bird" edition to celebrate National Firearms Appreciation Day.

I'll start by appreciating this FNX-45, which was in the display case for two hours before I yelled, "I'll take it!". I'm told I now have the store record for the shortest time from display case to sale. :)

15+1 shots, ambidextrous everything, removable top cover over a custom Docter low mount, Trijicon high sights, threaded muzzle, and bottom rail. The red dot and flashlight were surplus from an earlier project, while a suppressor will still be quite a way down the road, Dear Leader willing.

Best of all, I got it at the original MSRP, minus $100 for maintaining a good relationship with the store owner. No panicky gouging, although street prices for extra magazines, if you can find them, have gone from $25 to $50 over the last couple of months.

Lots of other features in a really deluxe setup for the serious handgunner. The bodyguards of our overseers may be elite enough that five shots are all they'll ever need. I'm just a humble journeyman, and believe "always bring as much gun as you can to a gunfight". This will probably supplant my dear, homely Glock 21 as my "zombie apocalypse" weapon.

Awesom rig ... Almost same zombie rig I have at hand as a house handgun.

http://www.flickriver.com/photos/barjack/136284206/

Mine is like the pic in the link above with the following modifications and additions.........

Glock 35 Practical Tactical
Converted with a KKM barrel with a supported chamber in 357Sig caliber
X400 Surefire rail light zeroed at 25 feet for right eye left eye accuracy
Heinie Straight Eight sights w tritium inserts
29 round extended mag filled w 125gr GDHP’s from Speer
Chamber empty, dry fired under my pillow at night or nap

Of course this is just a rig that gives me security till I can get to the Benelli M4 loaded with buck and slugs in the cedar chest at the foot of the bed.

Obamas economy has increased violent crime forcing law abiding citizens to be more prepared than ever. Titan doors, burglar film on all the window glass, three Rottweillers, firearms and a cellphone to call the cleanup crew aka cops is my plan in a nutshell..... (No pun intended)

Plan B is a bag of lime, a shovel and the hogs on a neighbors farm....

Stay safe !
