WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Thousands of Muslims gathered Friday on Capitol Hill for a day of prayer that organizers said was intended to inspire American Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
"But I will say something it took me my whole adult life to come to: America is not perfect, but I want to tell the truth: It is one of the best places in the world to live."
Organizers had hoped that 50,000 people would show up for the Friday afternoon prayer session, which took place at the foot of the U.S. Capitol.
There were also anti-Muslim protesters near the event.

And now I want to turn it into the islamic cesspool I just left...
Thousands? Yep. A whopping 2000, tops.
LOL, CNN. Instead of the few hundred that actually showed up, right?
Yet they stared at over a million 9/12 protesters and called it a few thousand - when they bothered to report it at all.
Traitorous MSM scum.
That’s sweet.
Taking a break between attempted suicide attempts.
BWAAAA-HAAA-HAA! 2K and the loser media said 50K were coming?
I started praying at 5am, Central. It worked! :)
It inspired me to buy some of this.
LOL!
Picture #1... If that’s the best they can do, it looks
like maybe a couple hundred showed up.
Picture #2... The little white hats and the kaftans do
not resemble the crowd wardrobe in picture #1. I think
it is a stock photo from another country or event.
Picture #3... Could have been taken at the same event
as Picture #2, but I have my doubts it was taken in D.C.
— My Opinion —
Goats on the Capitol lawn?
God says,"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and change their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive them and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
The answer for American begins on bended knee.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

I agree with you Jo. They look like they were taken at some other event other than at DC. The State Run Media really does suck.
LOL!
But but but ... Don’t I remember this:
Barack Hussein Obama: US “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world”
June 3rd, 2009
It is important to note that if you actually took the number of Muslim Americans, wed be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.
So says President Barack Obama. Or I should say: Barack Hussein Obama.
It has become one of my most treasured of God's promises!
Well it would seem, CNN, that if you have a line that clearly states that the 50,000 goal was not achieved it would seem incumbent upon you to qualify an estimate of how many were there. I know you mentioned thousands in the opening line but needless to say that be it 2,000 or 50,000, both figures qualify as thousands. And what's with the tight framing of the three photos attached to the article? We know the answers.
......................Thousands? Yep. A whopping 2000, tops.
........................
That’s a real shame.
Could’a been a real target rich environment!!
NINES of Muslims gathered together for prayer.
Up all night with IHOP-KC and Lou Engle.
I’d like to think there really WERE 50,000 Muslims planning to attend, and all but the couple’a three thousand that actually showed up had overnight dreams, revelations and encounters with the Risen Christ that kept them home.
Keep praying for them all, the “sword” was obviously turned back, but their end-game will not change unless their hearts are transformed, and no media campaign will accomplish that; it’s going to have to be a Living God thing.
That’s fine....as long as they don’t blow anything or themselves up.
