“Where are the Aluminum artifacts?”

Fred and Barney were environmentalists. They recycled EVERYTHING! Truly obsessive-compulsives, and blindingly disfunctional because of it. Unfortunately, they spent so much time cleaning up, the literally starved to death. True, it was an evolutionary dead end, but it left the earth pristine for us. Now, we’re not nearly as neat, but we have survived, and continue to increase our population base.

It just goes to show, if you’re kind of sloppy, you’ll live a lot longer, and your species is far more likely to survive.

I had a PhD from Bombay teach 3 of my undergrad 3 hour courses.

I don’t have any doubt of such things.

However, at some point . . . THE WORLD WAS VOID AND WITHOUT FORM . . . and God started over . . .

AND THATS’ what WE have to contend with.

The ancient past is curious and has plenty of mystery about it.

And, it is inconsequential. It doesn’t add a thing to my relationship with God. It need not subtract anything from my relationship with God.

What I do with Jesus is the critical issue.

Probably not that difficult for cultures that also had flying ships evidently akin to current UFO phenomena.

See above.

More than plausible to me. Have read/been taught a lot about the India ancient cultures and their nukes and flying machines.

I don’t need any of your proofs of pre-historic nuclear wars and the way you worship them as idols; I believe in the ONE TRUE nuclear war on FAITH alone.

uhh, sorry, I got lost over here on this thread after wandering over here from the Shroud of Turin thread....

The assertion is made that the glass expanses could not have been made by comets or meteros. In fact, the right composition of object screaming in to the atmosphere at a certain size would explode prior to impact and the heat released could certainly have made glass expanses. By starting the question with a specious assertion, conspiracy is supported ... speciously.

As I wrote: I don’t generally believe this stuff but I keep an open mind about it and it is much fun to read about and speculate on.

This article is prime reason for not believing everything you read on the internet. Tekites (the fused ‘glass’) are also associated with meteor impacts, so no suprises here anymore now that science has recognized that we’ve been hit more than was originally understood. I could take more time to evaluate the geologic settings - however there is a glaring absence of references (First hint!) to all that to occur.

However the author of this material - Brad Steiger - is an acknowledge ‘expert’ (according to one of his reviewers) in the paranormal. He descibes werewolves, his own encountere with a ufo, and new-age prayer and meditation (authored by his wife). He is endorsed by the Ancient American Magazine, a pseudo-scientific journal that keeps tossing demostrated frauds forward as what ever.

From such, we are advised by scripture to stay away from.

When God decides to destroy a city he does not need to use nuclear bombs.

That's what Democrats are for.

While I generally agree with your statements - I enjoy listening to those who have alternate explanations so I do not keep away.

I’m fascinated by the underwater ruins near Okinawa ... Nomagumi? Graham Hancock’s beautiful photographer wife took extensive photos of that site a few years ago.

Me too - check out the link I provided.

The UNDERWORLD thesis of Hancock’s is that during near the end of the Ice Age there arose an advanced stone age coastal civilization - not advanced like they had cars or lasers but advances like the Egyptians and when the great melt happened this far flung coastal civilization/empire was drowned giving rise to the Atlantis myth and other flood myths with the survivors of the coastal flood moving inland to be among the less advanced humans of the inner continents who viewed the more advances coastal dwellers as gods or near gods. What survived are racial memories and some passed down knowledge turned to myth and legends but for the most part real evidence for this civilization is buried under the seas.

Plenty true.

Though I do try to keep some slight awareness of the waterfront the enemy is operating in.

However, the evidence from the ancient culture in India is a lot more conclusive with all manner of proper measures, readings etc. as well as literary documentation, designs of air craft etc.

Graham Hancock and his wife are of those interesting people with whom I would enjoy a long dinner and after dinner conversation. His adventures around the world are interesting to follow. There are clues all over the world, including the Giza Plateau, which point to civilization operating for long periods with much lower sea levels ... like the staircases which descend deeplyly into the earth at Obiados, with most of the staircases now under ground water. The extensive basalt fortress in the Polynesian Islands (?) is another strange anomoly.

Interestingly, but not surprisingly, the author does not mention that he or anybody else has actually collected or analyzed any of the glass from these locations.... only old reports and anecdotes of "large glassy areas."

How very convenient.
