More intriguing to me than the story behind an unhinged Muslin is how in the hell a General could stand before America and deal out so much misinformation – there was only one shooter who had two pistols, he was shot dead and the person who shot the shooter was also shot dead.
Now I know why so many of our young are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our Generals don’t know their asses from their elbows. One would expect miss information from civilians, but hearing it from seasoned military people who are very accustomed to battle is amazing.
When you have a General who lacks the common sense to realize there is no way in hell one man with two pistols could kill 11 and wound 31 you have a General who will lead our soldiers to slaughter.
Not only was the General dead wrong with his information, his second press conference was hours late with only a passing mention of him being tardy.
I served 3 years in the Army and 4 years in the Air Force, all I can say is I hope to hell we never face off with Russia or China with Generals like this.
Ahhh...latest reports show that the scumbag is still alive...

Um, how many did the lone shooter at Virginia Tech shoot and kill and wound????? There were 32 dead (33 including the shooter) and 23 injured. There is a way one man can do that much carnage. Not to excuse the General giving out reports that were not accurate, but the argument on this issue is not supported.
I think that the FBI on orders from very high up was telling people what to say. This has to have shaken Obama up. The administration was hoping that the violence would come from the right.
I take it you are talking about General Cone. Do you have any way to prove he is wrong? Is there a reason to say the murderer is still alive and the off-duty cop is still alive when it isn't true?

What gets me is that this is a MILITARY BASE! He has the time to load and reload getting of 50 shots, minimum? This isn’t some college campus where no one is allowed to carry guns, this is our MILITARY!

Just heard the shooter had been being “watched” for 6 months. Where does that buck stop?
If it’s the one I watched when Fox was showing the press conference, he’s white. Does the military have affirmative action programs for white people???

The only people on a U.S. military installation allowed to carry firearms is Military Police. The only times others have weapons is during training, and only in specific locations on the base. Where this incident happened it wouldn’t be much different than on VT’s campus.
skin color means nothing ... affirmative action has been alive and well for many years ... except when it is a non black situation, it is called the Peter Principle. Both have the same very root.

He had a sack full of preloaded magazines. Even I can change a magazine in a couple of seconds. I’m not understanding why this is considered impossible.
