My Nov 14 2008 prediction about the coming EU disillusionment with Obama
"My guess is that the EU is going to be shocked when they realize just how arrogant Obama is. I’m sure they, in their own condescending way, are thinking “Ah, finally a man we can work with! One who will listed to us and be guided by our nuanced knowledge of world affairs!”. Instead after they deal with Obama they will come away angry about being bossed around by him. He thinks he’s king of the world now. He doesn’t want some sniveling beaurocrat in Belgium telling him what to do! They will take his instructions or else!"
It is spot on - we in grand old Europe , thought he was like us - refined and rational, full of existential angst and sensitive to post modern poetry - not like the rednecks who like guns and see the world in in simplistic terms.
Turns out he's a barking naive ego maniac, left of the European Establishment (and that is saying something).
