I agree with several other posters on this thread. Frankly, you sound like a liberal coming here to gay-bait so you can write an article for your high school newspaper proclaiming "Look how mean and bigoted and eeeeevil conservatives are!" No normal person would ask a question like that.

You're young, you can still learn. Let me try to help you out. Here are my beliefs on homosexuality: I don't agree with the gay lifestyle and have no desire to see it glorified. I also take no pleasure in seeing it bashed. I bear no grudge or ill will towards gay people. My philosophy is live and let live. They have their lives and I have mine.

Now, here comes the important lesson: Though I cannot speak for everybody, this is the way the majority of conservatives think and it is the way the majority of Americans think. We are not obsessed with homosexuality, either with praising it or bashing it. Try looking at conservatives as people, not caricatures. You'll get a much more accurate view.

I am 31 years old. No HS paper here. I don’t understand the gay bait idea. Whomever I would be “gay baiting” already think conservatives hate gay people anyway. Would it really be a shock to them?

Lets reverse this. Lets say I went to DU and said people who believe in god are idiots. Obviously comments in agreement would fill the post. Would anyone on FR be shocked at what would said? The answer is no. People at FR already know that the people on DU are godless athiestic marxists who hate America.

Would there really be anything to be gained by such an action?

I suggest you read some of my other posts, especially on the AZ forum.
