Golden Tate and Michael Floyd are fast enough.

True, but they will be in the NFL along with Clausen next year.

Does he get to pin Notre Dame medals on Obama and help with abortions. ND is a sh*t school and a fake Catholic University that supports abortion.

Clowns fawning over college football & the NFL are headed towards dhimini serfdom. Obama and the TV networks know sports fans will do their part.

Yes, it seems dale didn't know what he was talking about ... But I'm hoping that whoever comes to ND sticks with the singing of Notre Dame Our Mother after the home games. That was a game decision that Weis made that I liked quite a bit. Pray, pray for ol' Notre Dame.

The Burger "King" plays football. I'd love to see him smack into Ronald McDonald. Jack Jr in the Box also plays football

Good point on Tate but Floyd is a Sophomore and will probably stay.

Unless Floyd is a redshirt sophomore, he can't go in the draft this year.

well, let’s start with the positives. he has demonstrated:

- recruits Ohio better than Ohio State
- has access to the East Coast being having been in the Big East (marketing, recruiting, PR)
- can build a good program into a powerhouse
- has an offense that scores point without supe blue chippers

the potential for bad is that he has had some real trouble kids that get swept under the rug at Cincy. chances are that won’t happen at ND.

then again, they let BO speak there so maybe they don’t give a crap about such things.

While he might have a better team this year than Ohio State, Cincinnati still for the most part gets the leftovers in the state of Ohio. Since Kelly arrived at Cincinnati, Ohio St. has had much more heralded recruiting classes.

You can look at (almost) any successful program and find that dirty broom. Fortunately, it's not being tolerated very much anymore, exculding the Pro's of course. (couldn't resist)

Let’s see..hmmmmm... What happened the last time ND hired a head coach from Cincinatti?

It was Moeller High School, not the University of Cincinnati. Faust was in over his head even at Akron.

don’t disagree but I wonder if ND will tolerate that.

not sure if Cincy is better than State as I saw State dismantle Penn State and don’t believe the Big East is the same caliber of play as the Big 10. BUT, I do believe Kelly is recruting well against State. Probably not better top to bottom but the fact that they’re competing at a high level means they are getting some good kids. I don’t put much credence in the talent rating services when it comes to recruiting. To me, they are no different than most economists and weathermen - they get the easy ones right all the time.

The results speak for themselves 2 or 3 years down the road.

No, as long as he don’t do it there, but how many coaches under consideration haven’t done a little sweeping over the years? Public scrutiny/opinion is brutal today. Ask a well known golfer. L~

I think that OSU would beat Cinci on a neutral field. The Bucks have a much better defense. I agree that the recruiting services aren’t always that accurate, but Kelly has yet to have a class in the top 50 while OSU is almost always in the top ten. That’s a significant disparity. I still see little evidence that OSU is losing many players to Cinci. If they lose an Ohio kid, it’s usually to ND, Michigan, or Penn St.

“Kelly has yet to have a class in the top 50”

makes the job he’s done even more impressive.

Ohio is so loaded with football talent that even if he is getting “sloppy seconds” on in-state recruits, he and the staff are going to do well.

Great point about the talent in the state and the job Kelly has done. I love Tressel, but I think Kelly is a better pure coach than he is. I don’t know who is better as far as building and sustaining a program. Most colleges would love to have either one.

ND has had top 15 recruiting classes and hasn't done squat. Recruiting classes don't mean a lot these days. Programs like TCU and Cinci are proof. Its about coaching and talent.

My money is on Stoops going to ND. But knowing Nick Saban, don't be surprised if he goes to ND.

Wow, I guess they (ND) really do not care that Brian Kelly is very pro-choice.

Yeah well, you better believe the fan base has been pretty ugle about the Weis thing.

As someone alluded to earlier, the fact that they would bring Obama in to speak says volumes about the administration.
