Shane
Stagecoach
Winchester `73
I like westerns
It Happened One Night is my moms favorite movie,Gable & Lombard, great movie
Shane is from 1953 and Winchester 73 is from 1950.
Anyone see Battleship Potemkin? 1925. Now that is a trip. Netflix has it.
great ones!! also, thank you for your service.
Gable & Claudette Colbert actually. Seen it at least 5 times.
Loved Shane and Winchester `73 too.
But then anything with James Stewart in it is pure gold.
James Stewart, a great American, on and off the screen.
Alan Ladd, Jean Arthur, and Van Heflin were great in Shane.
For my money, Van Heflin is one of the greatest (and most underrated acoters) of that era.
"It Happened One Night" starred Gable and Claudette Colbert, not Lombard.
I liked William Powell and Carole Lombard in "My Man Godfrey", 1936.
All of the above movies mentioned here on this thread!
Fantastic movie I remember seeing for the first time with one of my house-mates in college. We sent up a cheer when she ran across the lawn to her waiting car.
Another good film with Claudette Colbert is the story of the confinement of Agnes Newton Keith in a WWII Japanese prison camp entitled “Three Came Home” based on her book. 1950
