Christmas Eve’s will never be the same to her mother again.

Damn right. My brother passed away 2 years ago on his 35th birthday. It's like a religious holiday to my mother now. She will never look at his birth-death day the same ever again.

I am sorry to hear that. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for the both of you, but especially your mother.

My Mother passed away twenty years ago.Her funeral was held on Christmas day.
The bright lights and splendor take on an entirely different meaning than they did before.
It went from becoming one of the most anticipated times of the year,to one of the most dreaded.
I try as hard as I possibly can to stay upbeat for the family, but sometimes i find it almost impossible.I do my duty and as soon as I can,I say my good-byes and retreat to the solitude of our home.
So to all who have lost a loved one at this special time of year,May God bless you and give you the fortitude to persevere and carry on as I believe your family would want you to.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy heartfelt New years.
