What a MOVING opening, Amy and Billie! (The graphic is a perfect match for the words to that song.)
I did a little checking, and found that Merle Haggard published that recording in 1982.

If any of you get a chance, read some of the things that happened in the year 1982 - you may be surprised.

Billie, this post was meant for you, especially. (Don’t know how I could have left your name off!) I’m so sorry.

Happy Monday, Yorkie.
I didn't realize the Merle Haggard recording was that old.
Sure seems like it could have been written in 2009.
I did a speed read at your link .... You are right!
Lots of surprising info there .... how fast we forget. :)
Have a Lovely Day.

Loved the old car and am always on the lookout for songs that just might fit some graphic Amy or I have found. She sends me a lot of neat photos from a site that I have a hard time opening; the graphics are usually HUGE in bytes. Most are 300,000 bytes and UP and there's no way to view less than 10 per page. Needless to say, it locks up my screen when there are 10 at one time trying to open. :(
