Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t all dryers front loading? I HATE front loading washers...ya can’t throw in the stray sock or towel after the washer has started. Well, maybe you can but you have to wait a few minutes before you can open the door.

Not mine it has a 7 minute time at the beginnng where you can pause the washer and add other things in. Most do now days.

The mildrew comes from people closing the doors when they are empty. You do not do that to a frontloader. Mine also has a cleaning cycle that you run once a month with bleach to clean the washer.

I just toss it into the next load. Hard to imagine that being a deal breaker.

I have front loading washer. And matching dryer.
They are on pedestals. They do an excellent job. I do not have a mildew problem. I can add a piece of laundry without waiting ‘minutes’, but it takes maybe 10 seconds. If you or spouse have a back injury or trouble bending I would not suggest these types of washers and dryers. The pedestals raise them of course, and give you drawers to keep detergent, fabric softener etc in. But again, you have to bend over. I have seen some now, that have the drawers on top. And you do not have the laundry folding area a washer and dryer that is not front loading provides...They definitely save on water and energy and detergent and fabric softener. You do not have to buy the expensive ones. Just low sudsing detergents!
