I’m having a real hard time “getting into” any of these contestants right now. The few I had high hopes for initially have been kind of coasting, and while I could compile a list of maybe the best 6 or 7 overall, it look like we’re going to have suffer through several weeks of dead wood purging.
The older contestants just seem to lack a consistent “it” factor”, the younger ones lack a sense of identity and either come across as sounding too old (Katie) or too young (Paige) for their age.
The few that have an actual sense of identity and/or star power seem to be too quirky to me to have staying power.
As a group, they just seem a’ight this year, no real stars emerging yet.
Agree. I’m having a tough time coming up with a Top Five list this year. One problem is that the contestants, with the exception of Lynche, Bowersox, and Lilly, are very inconsistent and unpredictable.
