Wish I’d known about the live thread, but just as well since I only got into 24 for day 7 and 8 due to previous travel commitments, etc. So a lot of quality DVD time lies ahead ;-)
Admire the actors and writers for a very compelling program that reflects the reality of real life but focused on good vs. evil rather than partisanship. Ending as it did with the President having to admit her failures in humility was appropriate for these times, I think.
24 zulu time
Edgar lives!
It’s been a great run. Thanks for the pings...and wish I could have been here more often. Sometimes the action just kept me from the computer.
As long as Jack lives, the world is a safe place!
Thanks for the thread, it was fun. I’ll miss it.
Thank you for your service!
Just wow!
No way I was going to try to watch and post tonight, I would have missed too much.
So where are we now? Like many others mentioned tonight, Gregory Itzin(Logan) should win at least 1 Emmy for his performance this season. And remember, he didn’t show until what, hour 10? And we know there will be a movie with the following as the backdrop....
President Taylor’s resignation and impending legal issues....
President Logan’s health.....
President Zubov’s role in the conspiracy and do they present a problem for Jack or Kim....
The fact that only 3 people at CTU are fully aware or the conspiracy(Cole, Chloe and Arlo).....
And finally Jack running from the authorities to escape as Taylor insists he does.....
Should be a kick ass movie!!
Thanks to everyone who made this thread, and the 4 years I was on it a freaking blast!! snif snif, It’s all over. Well until the movie comes out!
Hey!! It’s the HAWKS vs. FLYERS!! Should be a superior Stanley Playoff!
thank you very much for hosting this thread. Read all the comments after every episode and it was a hoot.
You guys rock.
Oops...I was about to add “see you next season”....
Ooooo, I like the thought of Jack & Chloe in Paris! But I think it’s more likely he’ll be in Madame Pompador’s country. She’s the only one he can turn to.
But then, 24 never felt it had to explain to us how Jack disappears himself. He just shows up in the next country.
He's on his way to the safe house as we speak :)
Why doesn’t Taylor just pardon Jack before she retires? At least that way he’d only be fighting the Russians in the upcoming movie.
I’m just joining in after watching the show on tivo after a meeting. Hubby actually watched with me. He’s a closet fan. Won’t admit he likes it but he loved this episode.
Very sweet intro by Jack, bittersweet.
Yes, “Time to Shut it Down”..sniff.. Thank you GRRRRRR for the pings and good company.
i think jack will go to the man that was helping him, you the special forces guy
The final episode was fantastic.
DP was actually worried about Jack. Said something about he has no money, etc. I think Jack can manage quite nicely, thank you.
Thanks to you and everyone who loves this thread. It has been a pleasure to lurk and post. I didn’t discover “24” until season 5, so you all have helped fill in some necessary blanks for me, as well as enhance my viewing experience. I don’t watch that much prime time network tv so this was quite a commitment for me. It was much more enjoyable with this thread.
As for this season... one of the best 24 hour "days" ever.
To everyone involved with 24 and to everyone who faithfully met here on line to enjoy the show together and to make snarkey, funny and sometimes serious comments...
THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES, now "Shut it down" :O)
