It is time again to start making plans to attend the Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot. Come join us to celebrate the memory this fine Texas gentlemen.
The 5th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot will be held June 12, 2010, starting at 10:00 a.m. Our range choice this year is Dietz Gun Range, 421 Range Road, New Braunfels. The cost per person will be $10.00 The Dietz Range is where TexasCowboy hosted one of his shoots in 2003.
This year the after party for the shoot will be held at the range. They have a large canopy with picnic benches underneath for us to hang out. The range does not have any items to cook food with, so we are asking that those who are able, to bring along a cooker. Everyone else please bring a side dish or appetizer. Adult beverages are allowed under the canopy (this does not need to be said but I am going to say in anyway – they are not to be opened until all weapons have been cased).
cpdiii has agreed to be our host this year. He will bring, and cook, steaks and shrimp Creole for everyone. I am really looking forward to eating the Creole!
At this time no plans have been made for the Friday evening dinner or Saturday morning breakfast get together. Allegra & I have volunteered to make the sacrifice of a road trip to check out places to eat. One line of thought for dinner is to eat at a German restaurant.

I’ll be happy to help in the “kitchen” where ever needed. I am considering bringing potato salad and/or cole slaw ~ ow, I just had a great idea, if I roast some corn can you warm it up?
I have no doubt that there are several folks coming to the shoot that like to eat dead Bambi (I’m not one of those folks though).
At this time there are 12 confirmed coming, and 9 maybe’s. The first of June I will ping the shoot list asking for a firm confirmation of those coming.
I am really looking forward to eating the Shrimp Creole!

Hey! Less than two weeks before the party begins! You can
count me in right now. I have my plane ticket to Dallas, my ride to New Braunfels (thanks to Lauren!), my hotel reservation...and I’m ready to start packing any minute!
Shrimp Creole sounds soooo yummy. Let us know what we can bring to the bash! We should be there by Friday afternoon!
