FR boots up real fast on mine.
I have trouble copying other posters' comments for reference when I am responding, but other than that, it works like a charm on the mobile.
And comes in handy when I'm stuck waiting somewhere.

No problem with Iphone here. In fact since buying it, my PC is nothing but a decorative item in my house. It’s a bit slower to type a post on a thread with the Iphone but it’s worth it for being able to stay up to date with the news anytime.

Turn off graphics and javascript.
Access FR through the RSS feed to browse the headlines. Depending on the phone, you might want to use a 3rd party software for reading RSS feeds.
If you mention which PDA you bought we might be able to help more.
Using Opera Mini Browser is also a good option. It has built in RSS support.
