This morning I woke up with a Merle Haggard song in my head.
Are the good times really over for good lyrics.
***I wish a buck was still silver.
It was back when the country was strong.
Back before Elvis; before the Vietnam war came along.
Before The Beatles and Yesterday,
When a man could still work, and still would.
Is the best of the free life behind us now?
Are the good times really over for good?
Are we rolling down hill like a snowball headed for hell?
With no kind of chance for the Flag or the Liberty bell.
Wish a Ford and a Chevy,
Could still last ten years, like they should.
Is the best of the free life behind us now?
Are the good times really over for good?
I wish coke was still cola,
And a joint was a bad place to be.
And it was back before NixonObama lied to us all on TV.
Before microwave ovens,
When a girl could still cook and still would.
Stop rolling down hill like a snowball headed for hell.
Stand up for the Flag and let`s all ring the Liberty bell.
Let`s make a Ford and a Chevy,
Still last ten years, like they should.
The best of the free life is still yet to come,
The good times ain`t over for good.***
Here we go!!
God is still in charge... I gotta keep telling myself that.
Did I read where 8 Republicans/Independents didn't vote on this? How's that possible?!
I haven’t checked the news side yet this morning.
Let’s Roll, guys.
Hey, doesn’t legislation for financial matters HAVE to start in the House? I’m not a constitutional expert, but didn’t this start in the Senate and therefore... not constitutional?
Not that the Constitution or the will of the governed matter to these communists.
I haven’t seen that, would you post a link if you find it please?
Good morning everybody.
I didn’t read that and the numbers that I saw didn’t give me any hint that there were abstentions. That won’t do ‘em any good. An abstention is just the same as an “aye.”
Morning!
The Republican party is too smart to call Barack Obama black in a sense that it would be a negative, said Patterson, the states first visually-impaired and African-American governor. But you can take something about his life, which I noticed they did at the Republican convention. A community organizer, they kept saying it, they kept laughing, like what does this mean?
I don't know the answer to that question, but I'm sure Mark Levin will have several words to say about that!!
Hi!
When in the course of human events ...
Here is the Final Vote Results. From what I can tell, no one abstained.
Chair, I could benefit from some of your commentary about now.
Thank you for the link. Our lock-stepping RAT critter Cuellar, voted yes. No surprise.
I shall call his office and give them a piece of my mind. If they haven’t disconnected the phone that is.
They should hear what I call him....
Alabama has two RAT critters. They voted ‘no’. They’re not in my district but even if they were, they’re still RATS.
The RATS just stuck their finger in America's eye and taunted us...just like Nazi Pelosi struting through the Tea Party crowd, waving her gavel yesterday. She knew the fix was in and couldn't help but lording it over all of us.
The RATS have awoken the sleeping giant, and filled it with a terrible resolve.
Before we are finished with them in 2012, the RAT Party Platform will only be discussed in one place...HELL!
Have been sort of out of it with a wasp sting and the medication for it, so haven't followed all of the mess on TV.
However, this morning the Prodigal story again popped into my head. If there had been a "prodigal mother" the son would have never had to eat with the swine etc, she would have fixed him a good home-cooked meal and put clean sheets on the bed so he would have never bottomed out.
Maybe this country needs to hit rock bottom before it turns back to God.
OTOH, We ARE in a Civil War. The sooner we admit it and prepare for it, the sooner we can end it and win it. God Bless His People!
I’m thinking also that we need to patrol the polling places the way Philadelphia was patrolled to ensure fairness. Evil always runs in the face of godliness, especially when the godliness has some visible authority to it.
