That among many other things. I am going to get active in the local Republican Party. This sleeping giant has woken up and I do not believe in just getting mad!

Welcome to the Active Republican Party. We had our little convention on Saturday.

Good Morning Everyone. Thank goodness our Representative and Senator are strong conservatives. We now must face the fact the muslim in charge has gotten his way, for this moment in time. He and little miss priss pelosi, will soon be among the unemployed. What puts gravel in my girdle is, we will still have to pay for their retirement and THEIR health care bills.

Good Morning Everyone.

We may have lost the battle, but we haven’t lost the War.

Now we must be extremely watchful of a potential effort to legalize all the illegals within our borders. This, of course, is the way they intend to insulate themselves against our angry No votes against them at the polls in Nov.

Late last night I read an outrageous quote from Louise Schlatter: (paraphrasing) This votes proves we have the power to do anything we want to do.

A ‘community organizer,’ they kept saying it, they kept laughing, like what does this mean?”

It means he is not fit for the office and he proves it daily.

Kinda simple if you ask me. Dipstick......

Paul Ryan Is Not Ready to Give Up on Health Care (Lays out plan to prevent implementation)

“We need to establish a set of metrics and benchmarks to measure the sector going forward, keeping a close eye on all of the Democrats’ claims,” Ryan says. “From cost to quality, we will need to be vigilant in making sure that their assertions are actually substantiated with facts, and I have every reason to believe they won’t be.” Repealing Obamacare should be the goal, he says, “but with the political plurality you need to do that — a new president, 60 senators, and a majority in the House — that is a pretty tall order.”

We can do it with vigilance!!

I love this from that article you linked:

In an Obamacare world, what is the GOP’s message? “We need to become the party of liberty and freedom,” Ryan argues. “We’re not doing enough. We can do better, and we will — because we have no choice. If we’re going to offer the country a completely different vision, we can’t be Democratic-lite or resign ourselves to be slightly more efficient managers and tax-collectors for the welfare state. We have to break with that and give people a clear and distinct difference.”

I just hope the RINO's don't de-rail this plan.

Wellll....I have less faith in that. People who live in Collin’s/Snowe’s state don’t impress me with much intelligence.

I think the term Obamacare is too small for this sweeping, massive, snowballing legislation.

I think we should call it Democratcare. It pins the blame solely where it belongs, and helps people remember just who pushed this horror through.

Hello!

It appears that many of us have made the decision to step away from the computer and do stuff. I just can’t keep reading all this BAD NEWS.

I’m going to watch Cheyenne and go through print-outs to determine what papers need to be kept and packed and which to discard.

There is nothing like moving half-way around the world to keep one from becoming a pack rat.

At least Ten States are lining up to fight this monstrosity. I'm proud to say that Alabama is one of the ten, joining Florida's AG. Some folks have said that it would be better to join together in one massive suit. But isn't that putting "all the eggs in one basket?" Wouldn't it be better to tie them up in the courts with one challenge after another on as many different grounds as we can? Overwhelm like a swarm of bees?

I hope more states follow.

At this point I don't know what would be best. I understand what you are stating, but perhaps more will give a bigger punch, maybe????

That is the argument, but if you get it filed in the wrong district with a lib judge, you won’t get it even close to the Supreme Court. Perhaps, if it is filed in many districts, somewhere, hopefully, one suit will make it through the filter.

I read “Forward Day By Day” meditations each day. Sometimes there are things in the meditations that make me think about you and today was one of those days. Right now, FDBD is celebrating its 75th anniversary and is using selected meditations from 1935 till now.

Todays meditation was on Exodus 4:10-20 (21-26) 27-31: I will be with your mouth and teach you what you are to speak.

It gives us the four voices in which Moses could speak to Israel and to Pharaoh, the same voices we have been using ever since.

The first voice is the way of force and fear.

The second voice was the one that I was drawn to today, I’m sure because of yesterday. The second voice is that of mystery and magic. Moses, in making his hand leprous at will, appealed to magic. This is the promise of a panacea to cure all ills. We look for it in technology and politics; wonder drugs are not confined to medicine.

The third voice is that of authority.

The fourth voice is the voice of personal experience and witness.

This mediation was written in 1971.
