“If there were 36 hours in the day, Ron Paul would be right at least three times.”

The point is not whether Dr. Paul is right or wrong, but whether there is a regularity in the sequence of economic events that makes the coming bankruptcy inevitable and predictable. “Other things being equal” if we continue on the current economic course, the country will bankrupt itself, and all the attempts to provide health care welfare will become futile. Personalities will have nothing to do with it.

Well, a lot of us believe there IS such a thing as cause and effect, and we don’t have to be disciples of “Dr. Paul” to understand it.

Liberals and their ilk, living in a land of unicorns that defecate skittles, believe that you can tax corporations and citizens to DEATH, spend vast sums of money on HUGE entitlement programs and the bill will never come due.

Most of us who pay attention recognize that the government only has a few ways to obtain money they spend on our “behalf” (if they don’t have government entities making it through a profitable government enterprise; a concept which simply doesn’t exist)and those methods are: taxing, printing or borrowing, all of which may be safely carried out in planned, limited scales without killing The Goose.

We know this because we have analogs in our own personal finances, and know that injudiciously violating those guidelines will land you in the poor house.

Our own government ignored this aspect for many years, but this administration in the last year has made a conscious decision to grease the skids towards disaster. Personally, my confidence level approaches 100% that they are actively pursuing a Cloward-Piven strategy, and are hoping we reach their “end” before they are separated from the levers of power.

Are we finished? Is it too late? It CERTAINLY is if we continue down this path. But I feel that our country has enough assets, including human, material and natural that given the right environment that includes fiscal responsibility, removal of the entitlement mentality and a corporate environment that encourages the profit motive instead of demonizing it will allow us to get back on our feet at some point in the future.

You don’t need to have “Dr” in front of your name to see this reality, only half a brain that pays attention.
