If I had the money, I would go to Costa Rica. There are many Americans down there who made the choice long ago, as a way to preserve their wealth and not have it stolen by the parasites in this country.

That's not always a plus. Lots of Americans in Arenal who seem to be middle class. Lots of Americans in Tamarindo but they seem to be mostly hippies or drifters who leave their trash on the beach. Nice country though away from the American areas from what little I saw. Personally I think Chile would be a great place to live.
