I know a guy that moved to Panama last year. Recently returned for a short stay. He says he likes it there, but food is pricey. I have another good friend, vietnam USMC vet who moved back there to live 15 years ago. He likes it very much. Wants me to join him there. I'm considering.

WHAT? I completely disagree and there a several expatriates on FR that now live there and I am sure they will disagree. Compared to here, food is cheap.
