Here is video of one of the finest plays you will ever see in a baseball game! It came from a Fordham University player, Brian Kownacki, who was headed around third and toward a collision at home plate with the catcher. At the last second, Kownacki makes a circus leap up and over the catcher - clearing him cleanly - and coming down with his hand touching home plate to score!

Wow!
Sweet.
If there’s no rule against that, the libs will invent one soon- somebody could get hurt....it’s for the children!
How cool was that!
That was awesome!
You have to cross the plate standing up? Lib version of fairness.
A great play! I watched it several times, and if the catcher touched him at all it was with an elbow, not the ball or glove/ball— so he was clearly safe.....
hh
Keeping score produces undue anguish on those that are “score challenged” It should be banned.;^/
I had something similar happen to me in little league 35 years ago. We were playing in a tournament, and got to our game just early enough for me to see a kid hurdle the catcher and score. I played catcher, and sure enough we had a similar play the next game. Don’t know if it was the same kid or just a teammate, but he hurdled me to score. Would have worked had I not just seen it happen...and I barely caught his foot as he went over me. He landed much less gracefully...
Scene from Major League II?
What’s even more amazing is the fact that the 3rd base coach waved in on a single a player from first after the go ahead run had already scored.
Its good to see the Can Do spirit is alive.
That was hilarious!!
Thanks.
I got called out once for diving into 3rd base and getting my hand on the base long before I was tagged. The umpire said I needed to touch the base with my foot. I asked him to show me in the rulebook where it said that. He told me to go take a seat or I wouldn’t be playing the rest of the game.
How is this catcher and manager arguing that they tagged him? The catcher clearly didn’t tag him at all, and could only manage a weak wave of his elbow at the diving runner.
I need to view this at home.
Yes, I wondered that too. What, exactly, is the manager arguing about?
I’m surprised liberals haven’t outlawed baseball yet...too dangerous. Such a hard ball.... Oh, my!
Neat play.
